ANDREW JOSHUA COHEN

Andrew was born in Boston on Christmas Eve, 1968.  He moved to Houston in 1975 and grew up there, doing his best to help raise his brothers Adam and Ethan.  He moved to Austin in 1987 to attend the University of Texas.  Like all other Houstonians exposed to life in Austin, he fell in love with Austin and vowed never to return to Houston unless guaranteed the visit would be brief.  Except for a five year stint living in Tuscaloosa, Alabama he has lived in Austin ever since.  Actually, he was impressed with Alabama, though he didn't enjoy being away from his family and friends.  While he was there he earned a Master's Degree in History at the University of Alabama.  After a brief, enjoyable career as a sportswriter, Andrew decided to be an educator.  His love for sports led him to become a coach.  He also taught history for a few years but currently teaches Outdoor Sports and coaches football, basketball, and track at Cedar Valley Middle School in Round Rock.  In his spare time, he tends to the business and marketing affairs of Silverfish Art and produces an occasional poster.
